It is November Shimotsuki in no time.
After the winter has passed, we will be preparing for full-scale winter.
Well, in the world of tea ceremony this November I will hold an event called Furnace Opening. It’s getting colder so it’s time to open the hearth.
In this way, we are also playing the role of floor heating so that the warmth of fire gets closer to the customer than setting the kettle in the hearth.
At present it seems that it is said to be a kotatsu open and it seems that there are many people who usually put out kotatsu at home this time ☀ ️
Nagano is also cold here in October, so it depends on the region.
There is a saying that you eat grilled rice cakes and shiruko zenzai that mimicked wild boar (uriri) at the time of this furnace opening.
Actually, this innocent rice cake is from the event in the imperial temple.
In the Imperial Palace, we are going to celebrate eating the child’s rice cake of Yama as a celebration of the child of the beach in the morning of the Year of the Year of the Lunar New Year ‘s Day, the Moon of the Year.
Genjiu is also said to be strict. The boiled rice cakes spread to the common people as various faiths and customs such as paying for a million diseases, celebrating fertility, wishing for a hibernation.
In the Imperial Palace, we perform a ceremonial ceremony called a ceremonial buttock, squeezing two pillows made of willow and pounding rice cake with a pine-made ring drum shaped mortar. At that time, it is said to sing a song called “Kannazuki moon rain noodle noagasagotoni us and uko netsukutsuku.”
From these events, in the tea ceremony, sweets of Chi Mochi of Yakui with taste in the time of furnace opening, and water fingers “water finger of mortar”. The incense of Genki Inkera and others are used.
We also eat Saruzen Zenzai for opening the furnace. This year I ate Saruwako Zenzai 😋
Shinju large breeding flower bean ‘s brush acts every year in lesson 😋
If only six-sized black letters are eaten, we will add a red cedar chopsticks and eat it. Although this red cedar is very valuable thing it seems to be unavailable, many things that apply red iron oxide to ordinary cedar chopsticks are on the market. I accompanied cedar chopsticks painted with red iron oxide this time and served it.
